Despite their substantial burden, many digestive diseases are poorly understood, attracting relatively little political attention, funding or research.
With new data needed to raise political and public awareness of digestive diseases, United European Gastroenterology (UEG) commissioned a pan-European study aimed to analyze the burden and economic costs of digestive diseases, as well as the associated research gaps. Data from the study highlight worrying increases in the prevalence of several digestive diseases since 2000, including a rise in the incidence and mortality rates for all digestive cancers.
Join us for a high-level event which will bring together digestive health experts and key stakeholders from the European health community for a lively and solution-oriented discussion on the current state of digestive health across Europe. We aim to pave the way for more effective prevention strategies, improved outcomes for patients and increased funding into digestive health research in Europe.
Registration closes on April 17 at noon.
