The Importance of Efficient Connectivity for Competitiveness

Airlines fly where passengers want to go and where it makes sense economically. Surprisingly, there are still many barriers to that connectivity. Too often still, European travellers pay unreasonably high charges, airlines are left in the dark on the costs they have to cover, and airports don‘t seem concerned with efficiency. New data show that the current European framework does not support passengers benefiting from the revenues they generate when they travel.

Discussion hosted by Ramon TREMOSA i BALCELLS with:

  • Louise Congdon, Managing Partner, York Aviation
  • Martin Gauss, CEO, airBaltic
  • Fernando Pinto, CEO, TAP Portugal
  • Willie Walsh, CEO, International Airlines Group IAG
