EASA Helicopters Flight Test Workshop
Flight testing is certainly a very complex certification compliance activity, requiring a considerable amount of resources, exposure to risk and close coordination between different internal and external stakeholders.
In the past decade, since the implementation of the Part 21 changes introducing the regulation of flight testing for certification, we have seen an increasing number of certification projects on helicopters, involving flight testing.
At the same time, the number of Alternative Procedures for Design Organisation Approval (AP-DOA) seeking flight test capability recognition has been constantly growing.
The objective of this workshop is to share the experience and lessons learnt gathered in the past years, to provide guidance on effective management and execution of flight test activities for certification compliance demonstration.
The workshop also aims at ensuring standardisation on some of the hot common topics in the flight test discipline for helicopter certification.
