The International Trademark Association (INTA) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy (BASCAP) are pleased to invite you to attend and participate in an INTA–BASCAP workshop on the roles and responsibilities of intermediaries in enforcing IP rights. This one-day workshop, Intermediaries and Rights Holders—Working Together to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy, will take place at Le Plaza Hotel Brussels on November 30, 2016.
The event will bring together key stakeholders to explore opportunities for rights holders, intermediaries, and governments to work together on solutions. BASCAP will present some of its findings in the recent report entitled “Roles and Responsibilities of Intermediaries: Fighting Counterfeiting and Piracy in the Supply Chain,” and INTA will share some of its best practices for addressing the sale of counterfeits through voluntary collaboration. Workshop sessions will focus on several of the key types of intermediary categories, with speakers discussing the challenges and opportunities to cooperate on innovative responses.
