This European Medical Organisation's conference will be a unique opportunity to present different experiences within the context of CPD for the medical profession.
This European Medical Organisations (EMO’s) conference on Continuous Professional Development will build on the EMO’s long-standing engagement in the debate on CPD for doctors which was i.a. marked by a successful event organised in collaboration with the European Commission and the Finnish Presidency of the Council in 2006. This conference will be a unique opportunity to present different experiences within the context of CPD for the medical profession. The central theme for the conference is the importance of CPD for improving health care, and the discussion will involve a variety of stakeholders, for instance physicians, EU institutions and national competent authorities. During the conference issues such as patient safety, and barriers and incentives for CPD will be discussed, while emphasis will also be given to the sharing of best practices. Keynote speeches as well as working groups led by expert chairs will inform the current debate on CPD and its future.This all-day conference will be held during the EU Presidency of Luxembourg in Luxembourg on 18 December 2015, and the venue of the conference will be the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, 7 Rue Alcide de Gasperi, Kirchberg, 2981 Luxembourg.
