The Russian Government's Emergency Response System, ERA-GLONASS is using GLONASS technology to increase road safety across the whole country. By 2015 all new type approved M1 passenger and N1 commercial vehicles must be equipped with this technology and other vehicles vehicle types will start begin incorporating this by fourth quarter 2014.
