Vosse de Boode, now Head of Science AFC Ajax, started working at Ajax as a sports biomechanist in 2011, responsible for the Adidas mi- Coach Performance Centre. With her background in both exercise physiology and biomechanics she combines multiple data sources in order to provide fast and practical answers to complex physical, technical, and tactical football questions. She applies scientific knowledge and uses sports analysis and technology to support the performance of the A-selection and the development of the youth academy of Ajax. Examples of the responsibilities of the science team she coordinates are: tracking and monitoring; physiological and physical skill testing; development of movement analysing tests and methods (like physiological workload, tactical parameters, reaction time, gaze behaviour, speed-strength relations, gait analysis, fast shot analysis, goalkeeper dive speed). She is also initiating and realizing scientific studies within the field of football in cooperation with the VU University, Amsterdam.
