Social enterprises and the social economy going forward - A call for action from the Commission Expert Group on Social Entrepreneurship (GECES)

Social enterprises have gained in importance in European and national policies in recent years. Indeed, there is a growing awareness that they create sustainable and inclusive growth and stimulate social innovation. By focusing on people as much as profit, they foster a sense of social cohesion and promote the common good.
