Aviation's Credibility on Environmental Integrity

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has agreed to develop a global market based mechanism (GMBM) to stabilize CO 2 emissions from aviation at 2020 levels through the use of offsets, whereby credits from emissions reductions achieved elsewhere are bought and counted against emissions from the sector.
