CBE JU is now in its third year. It is a € 2 billion partnership between the European Union and the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) that funds projects advancing competitive circular bio-based industries under Horizon Europe. The role of CBE is to bring together actors from circular and bio-based industries, ranging from farmers to scientists, to solve the technological, regulatory and market challenges of the sector. Its public-private funding scheme boosts innovation and market deployment and paves the way for future ;
Under CBE there are annual funding calls and the 2024 open on 24th April with a deadline on 18th September. This year’s calls budget a total of € million, spanning 18 call topics, for example - to develop innovative bio-based food/feed ingredients, to set up bio-based value chains by valorizing oil crops, natural fiber feedstocks as well as funding for new form of cooperation in agriculture and the forest-based sector.
During the info session, results of past CBE calls and experiences of Dutch project participants will be shared. Furthermore, new opportunities for 2024 will be introduced, as well as insights into proposal submission and its evaluation process. Participants looking for a partner or a consortium will be given a chance to pitch their proposal idea to the audience, and we will conclude with a networking brainstorming session. We expect participants from industry, academia, knowledge institutes, and the government to attend this info ;
