Highlights of the Brussels Book Fair include the presentation of the EU Prize for Literature and discussions on literary translation, foreign literature publishing, careers in the book industry, and promoting reading.

In 2024, during Belgium's EU presidency, the European Union is the guest of honor at the fair, with several European partners converging at Place de l'Europe in the Gare Maritime. Place de l'Europe will showcase the EU's cultural and literary diversity through panel discussions, readings, and exhibitions.

The Culture sector team will manage the Creative Europe booth and moderate four panel discussions at the Book Fair. Anyone interested in the topics and funded projects is welcome to attend.
