The main theme of Climate Chance Europe's 2024 Wallonia Summit is "Adaptation to climate change, nature-based solutions and resilience".
The event will be held at the Palais des Congrès in Liège, on 8 and 9 February 2024, and will bring together over 800 non-state actors, local and European representatives from civil society and institutions. In all, around 15 workshops, field visits, a gala evening, parallel meetings and two plenary sessions will highlight and facilitate exchanges on specific solutions for achieving the objectives of the European Green Deal.
The objective of this meeting will be to draw up an ambitious "Liège Declaration" . This declaration will be an important milestone in the work of the Belgian Presidency of the Environment and Climate Council.
Wallonia will therefore play its part in facilitating an inclusive and participatory approach to a renewed European Green Deal after 2024. A Green Deal that among other things will strengthen European and cross-border coordination between all actors in the area of adaptation to climate change and other environmental risks.
On the occasion of the Climate Chance Europe Summit on 8 and 9 February 2024 in Liège, Climate Chance is launching a call for climate actions throughout the European Union! The actions selected will be presented by their promoters at the Pitch Corner, a space at the heart of the event. They will also be published on the Action Map, which lists best practices and climate initiatives around the world.
