LIFE projects at the European Climate Stocktake

On 27 October, the LIFE-IP EKOMALOPOLSKA project will attend the European Climate Stocktake taking place in Brussels, Belgium. The event aims to contribute to the reflection on the EU and the world’s progress towards the Paris Agreement.

The European Climate Stocktake's objective is to advance the discussion in the run-up to the Global Stocktake, the UNFCCC's first review of the global progress made in implementing the Paris Agreement. It will conclude at COP28 in November.

High-level policymakers from the European Union and across the world, as well as speakers representing a range of stakeholders, including international organisations, businesses, NGOs, academia, youth, and others, will be invited to have an open discussion about the world's progress towards the goals of the Paris Agreement.

About LIFE-IP EKOMALOPOLSKA's participation

The project LIFE-IP EKOMALOPOLSKA, which focuses on activities in the field of climate change mitigation and energy transition in the Malopolska region in Poland, will represent the LIFE programme at the event. The Project Coordinator, Ms. Justyna Mazurkiewicz, will take the floor in the session "How do we get there?" scheduled in the afternoon, from 15:30 to 16:15 CET.

Representatives of other organisations receiving LIFE operating grants, such as Climate Action (CAN) Network Europe and Slow Food, will also be present at the event.
