The Economic Transition Week consists of a series of events organised by Brussels Environment, Brussels Economy Employment, Innoviris and It will bring together the actors of the Brussels economic ecosystem to discuss the orientations of the new regional economic transition strategy (SRTE).
A resilient and circular economy
Today's environmental challenges require a rethink of our urban development, production and consumption models so that they meet the vital functions of the city. Brussels' economic actors, such as companies, public institutions and business federations, will be invited to question the ways in how they can be part of the economic transition. Various events will address the tools and principles needed for the advent of a local, regenerative, decarbonized and resource-saving economy.
A social and democratic economy
To meet the needs of all citizens of the Region, the Brussels economy must include in its priorities the issues related to the reduction of social inequalities and injustices. The Economic Transition Week will address issues such as participatory and democratic governance and social economy.
