The course places emphasis in understanding the concept of Sensory Sensitivity, its applications and the implications in case of co-morbidities.
More specifically, through two distinct study units, the course provides a thorough knowledge of the senses and their functions with the aim to improve the sensory understanding and how Sensory Sensitivity can play a key role in the formal and informal learning of young children as well as the social interaction with their peers.

Empowering Parents to realise the full potential of children and young people with Sensory Sensitivities (SPDSP) is a masterclass course on Sensory Difficulties and an indispensable tool for parents who wish to understand the concept of Sensory Difficulties and assist their children with Sensory Sensitivities through practical day-to-day activities & techniques. In this respect, the course provides a range of practical tips to parents to develop a sensory friendly environment for their children.
All presentations in this course are both visual and audio. The course is being developed by highly experienced tutors with vast expertise in the area of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
