The European Commission published its proposals for the Digital Services (DSA) and Digital Markets (DMA) Acts in December 2020, kicking off a paradigm shift in the regulation of online platforms in Europe. Throughout the first half of 2021, CERRE is hosting a series of ‘rendez-vous’ events to delve into and debate specific aspects of each proposal.
Following three events on the Digital Markets Act, the fourth ‘rendez-vous’ of the series will turn its attention to the Digital Services Act. Specifically, platform responsibilities and media. Authors of CERRE’s DSA recommendations and report, Alexandre de Streel and Sally Broughton Micova, will join key players from the online platform and telecommunication industries, national regulators, policy makers and international stakeholders to discuss the DSA package in depth.
The event, moderated by CERRE Tech, Media, Telecom & Mobility Director Lara Natale, will be livestreamed on the CERRE website (registration link) and YouTube channel (CERRE Think Tank). Viewers will have the chance to ask questions via Slido during the event.
