The Second WHO Africa Health Forum took place from 26-28 March in Cabo Verde and was the occasion to discuss progress made so far on the implementation of the Call to Action from the first WHO Africa Health Forum: Putting People First – The Road to Universal Health Coverage in Africa.
This briefing provides an opportunity to discuss with experts from the WHO African Region about the relationship between health and GDP growth in Africa and the importance of ensuring health security and UHC for the continent’s sustainable development.
The meeting will be held on 11 July 2019 from 15h-18h and is organized by WHO and the Finnish Presidency of the European Union.
