This high-level seminar will present and debate the policy recommendations of a new report on ‘Digital Conglomerates and EU Competition Policy’*.
As many await Commissioner Vestager’s special advisors report on future challenges of digitisation for competition policy, this CERRE event will present an independent study by Marc Bourreau (Telecom ParisTech & CERRE) and Alexandre de Streel (University of Namur & CERRE) that addresses many of these challenges.
The report ‘Digital Conglomerates and EU Competition Policy’ that will be presented at this event examines the motivations as well as the competitive effects of digital conglomerates. It delivers clear recommendations to improve EU competition policy, making it more fit to deal with this fast-evolving sector.
Join senior representatives from digital platforms, telecom operators, national competition authorities and the European institutions, as well as independent experts to discuss the recommendations of this new report.
