The Women in EU Finance Network is delighted to invite you to a lively breakfast event on the theme of gender and FinTech, jointly organized with ICAEW (the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) and EY. The Women in EU Finance Network is an initiative by ICAEW, bringing together women working in the broad EU financial services arena.

Today, we hear a lot of experts, stakeholders and policymakers talk about FinTech and its potential to disrupt the whole financial services industry and beyond. What we probably hear less about is the role FinTech will play in fostering gender parity and making women part of the gender equation. There are quite a few questions that still need an answer – for instance, how to tackle the gender gap in FinTech? Can FinTech help improve financial inclusion – for instance providing new products and services that are more tailored to women’s needs and / or preferences? Are FinTech products and services gender neutral or do they embed unconscious biases? Will FinTech help women reach their full potential and give them an opportunity to boost their companies’ bottom line?
