Autonomous Mobility - Land, Sea & Air. What role for standards?

Stakeholder Workshop - What role for standards?

Why?
Autonomous mobility implies new challenges to safety, trust and liability. Connected vehicles such as cars, trains, ships and drones require new ways of interacting with each other as well as with the infrastructure (road, harbours, satellites). This reality presents opportunities where standardization can play an important role in areas such as data, safety and infrastructure.

What?
A one-day stakeholder workshop to discuss and identify specific standardization gaps. The workshop will identify areas and ways in which standards can contribute to safety and security of automated modes of transport and their intermodality. Participants will set the basis for a roadmap on standardization for autonomous ;

Target audience

  • Representatives from the different transport sectors (land, sea, air);
  • Industry (vehicles and infrastructure);
  • Municipalities;
  • Technology providers;
  • Policy makers;
  • The standardization community.

Programme: will be made available in September.
