It is said that we are on the cusp of a new technology revolution in aerospace with exciting developments happening in electrification, artificial intelligence autonomy and new materials.
There is no doubt that the role that research across our universities has played is a key to this new opportunity.
The lecture explores just what this role for our universities is and how it differs across Europe.
It examines just what the interface between business and universities is and identifies potential solutions to make this relationship more effective.
The lecture discusses progress against these disruptive technology objectives and asks the question ‘what the future will look like’ and ‘how can universities working with business make this technology revolution become a commercial success?
