Envisioning the New World: Evening with T. G. Masaryk in Bozar

Evening introducing the personality of T. G. Masaryk, the first Czechoslovak president through a lecture of professor from Sorbonne and a up-to-date dramatization of a book full of interviews with him.

1918 was the year of courageous experiments both in arts and politics. New artistic visions developed, new political entities took place. How do we remember the era today?

The Czech Centre Brussels presents a full year cultural program in Brussels dealing with our memory of 1918. ENVISIONING NEW WORLDS: MASARYK introduces the personality of the feminist, sociologist, philosopher and the first Czechoslovak President Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk through a lecture of the Sorbonne professor Alain Soubigou, and a dramatization of a book of interviews with Masaryk, as interpreted by young Czech actors. A rare opportunity to get o know the fascinating personality of Masaryk in a very contemporary context!
