European Responsible Housing Awards

The only European CSR awards for housing providers

The time to find out who are the leading housing associations across Europe demonstrating socially innovative practices has come. The Award Ceremony of the second edition of the European Responsible Housing Awards is taking place on 23 November 2016, 9.00-14.30 - JDE52 Atrium 5, Committee of the Regions, Rue Belliard 99-101, 1040 Brussels.

The only Corporate Social Responsibility Awards for Public, Cooperative and Social Housing Providers gather again socially innovative practices across Europe.

Confronted with growing economic, social and environmental challenges, more and more public, cooperative and social housing organisations are enhancing and demonstrating their capacity to innovate. Providing affordable, good quality housing and services responding to the variety of needs and thus contribute to sustainable local communities, to the residents well-being, to their quality of life and their empowerment, this is the core of responsible housing.

In 2016, public, cooperative and non-profit housing providers have been competing already for more than two months in the second edition of the European Housing Responsible Awards. Jointly organised by Housing Europe, Delphis and the International Union of Tenants, the competition showcases innovative best practices and promotes exchange of knowledge between local housing providers who promote local, social and environmental sustainability, good governance and responsible HR management.

62 best practices from 9 countries have been submitted to the 4 categories that correspond to the core elements of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):

  1. Local Social Sustainability
  2. Environmental Sustainability
  3. Good governance and fair relations with stakeholders
  4. Responsible human resources management

Housing associations from France, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom will be now waiting for the evaluation by the jury that consists of representatives of key European stakeholders
