How threatening is artificial intelligence and its applications

Newest technology and how will it impact on you?

An EEMA Fireside High Level Briefing, Chaired by Jon Shamah, Chair of EEMA.

Speaker: Tony Fish, Co-founder FabLab: investor, author and seriel entrepreneur. We will hear views on “x+AI” and discuss what it means for us as we give up more and more of our day to day activities. Will we become more intelligent or more disruptive?

Kevin Kelly’s new book, The Inevitable, has a great quote “x+AI” as a way to sum up how many intelligence views will be added to everything. The car arrives and drops me without me event realising how. Some statement are just plain creepy, for example, Dilberts cloud service that dials into the board meeting to sack the employees.

Speaker: Adi Gaskell is a consultant who helps organisations understand the technologies that are lurking around the corner. He has worked with institutions ranging from the NHS to Salesforce and writes regularly for Forbes. AI is a particular passion and he advises regularly on the pros and cons of our soon to be AI world.
