During this event, taking place in the iconic new Antwerp Port House, our keynote speaker Kris Peeters, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Employment, Economy and Consumers, will reflect on the historic importance of transatlantic trade. He will present the latest developments on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations and as well as the potential TTIP has for Belgium. This will be followed by a presentation by Dr. Koen Berden, Director of Outreach at the World Trade Institute in Bern. Dr. Berden will present the findings of the recent Impact Assessment of TTIP for Belgium study and outline the importance of trade for the Port and Flanders.
