The Institute for European Studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel kindly invites you to the lecture “Fostering a culture of global participation in Internet Governance" on 24 September 2015 from 16:00 - 18:00.We have the honor of hostingDaniel Dardailler, Director of International Relations at theWorld Wide Web Consortium (W3C), for an introductory lecture on the state of global Internet governance, the role and position of W3C, and its efforts to collaborate. W3C is an international community where Member organizations, a full-time staff, and the public work together to develop Web standards. Led by Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee and CEO Jeffrey Jaffe, W3C is a long time architect and advocate of open Web standards used for free by all. W3C also has a strong experience in multi-stakeholder dialogue, as its work is mostly done in public and is always reviewed by the public by design.
