Tourism represents the third largest socioeconomic activity in the EU and is estimated to generate over 10% of the EU's GDP. Moreover, Europe is the first tourist destination in the world.This workshop aims at enhancing awareness on the EU’s policies and actions to improve therange of tourism products and on sustainable tourism in the Walloon Region. During the event, a good practice will be presented: the EU-funded TATRA project on sustainable tourism and the launch of its new web-platform which represents an innovative marketing tool for the SMEs in the touristic sector.
