Independent working and new forms of employment are emerging in Europe with significant implications for combatting unemployment, increasing labour market dynamism and improving working conditions.With a focus on specific examples, the workshop will discuss challenges and readily available scalable solutions for new forms of work to become mainstream. The workshop partners will also aim to formulate policy pointers for the EU decision makers on the promotion of independent working.The final objective is to explore opportunities for the set-up of an informal Working Group on New Forms of Work. This should facilitate the exchange good practices among stakeholders, raise awareness with the EU decision makers and coordinate joint policy actions, including participation in research projects (EU funding).
