The aim of the conference »Digital Agenda goinglocal – examples from the North Sea Region«,which is DANS cluster’s final conference, is tobring the Digital Agenda for Europe to a moreregional level and to show how activities implementedin frame of DANS cluster can contributeto it.One and a half year after the project kicked-off,it has delivered some reasonable results: TheDANS cluster »Good practice guide« which containsthe best of the good practices identifiedby the Interreg IVB NSR projects E-CLIC, CCCand Smart Cities as well as the DANS model, acollaboration model for the implementation of theDigital Agenda for Europe on a local and regionallevel to further increase the social and economicpotential of ICT by promoting ICT innovation willbe presented. Furthermore, the results from theonline consultation among stakeholders of theDigital Agenda for Europe (DAE) which point tochallenges with regard to the current implementationstatus in the North Sea Region will besummarized.High level speakers will comment on and pointto various perspectives concerning the DigitalAgenda from a European but also from a moreregional point of view. Furthermore the economiceffects and corresponding requirements from thebusiness sector will be highlighted.
