The European Union has reached a high level of implementation of Union Law in Member States, Regions and Countries. This has been achieved through different instruments, but mainly through approximation and harmonization of laws.Using the example of regional Autonomies the aim is to demonstrate what impact the European law has – with or without harmonization – on different levels.The three publications presented will show how – among others autonomous - regions see their role in the European integration and legislative process and how it might be possible to reach a global improvement also in terms of quality of implementation of Union Law.Focusing on the recent proposal of the European Commission on public procurement the workshop will analyse design and implementation of EU Law.
