A practical workshop covering the main issues surrounding debt management. Participants will learn about credit ratings, mortgage arrears, family budgeting, loan repayment plans, dealing with debt collectors, debt consolidation, guarantees, bankruptcy and insolvency. The proposed changes in bankruptcy law will be highlighted.The emphasis is on examining practical, realistic options and understanding the legalities surrounding debt. Extensive referral to all relevant advisory, information and support groups will be provided.
