German Rail Development 2009

This two day conference will bring together all parties including infrastructure owners/managers, operators, maintenance companies, consultants and suppliers.

The rail network in Germany is arguably one of the largest and most developed in Europe, if not the world. However, as with most networks, there is always continued development of new lines, improvements and in particular the issue of liberalisation. From the Braunschweig Tram-Train Scheme to high speed lines which have broken rail speed records there is constant evolution of the networks, be it through new projects or upgrades.German Rail Development 2009, a European Railway Review and Eurotransport magazine conference, will bring together the leading figures throughout Germany and the bordering countries to discuss and share experience and opinion of the current and future state of the rail networks. By focusing on specific projects in terms of both corridor and regional lines, light rail and suburban, the conference will provide an insight into investment plans and areas such as track maintenance and construction, signalling and rolling stock, passenger and freight opportunities, assisting all stakeholders in their quest for greater levels of efficiency and service. This two day conference will bring together all parties including infrastructure owners/managers, operators, maintenance companies, consultants and suppliers.
