Dr. Sebastian Kiewnick heads the National Competence Centre for Nematology at Agroscope (Agroscope Changins-Waedenswil, ACW, Switzerland). \\ \\ He has more than 18 years of experience in nematology with a focus on diagnostics and integrated control of plant parasitic nematodes. This includes developing novel diagnostic methods to detect quarantine nematodes including real-time PCR assays. He was the Swiss delegate for MC of COST 872 and is the Swiss National Delegate to the EPPO diagnostic panel on Nematodes. He participated in several FP6 and FP7 projects including QBOL and Q-Collect and is currently one of the curators for the Q-bank nematodes database.
