Speach: "Advanced Materials and "nanotechnologies for a better lifeRodrigo Martins is full Professor at New University of Lisbon, the Head of Materials Science Department of New University of Lisbon and Director of the Centre of Excellence in Microelectronics and Optoelectronics Processes of the Institute of New Technologies since 1991. He took his M.Sc. degree at University of Dundee (1977) working in the field of amorphous silicon; his Ph.D. degree in semiconductor materials from new University of Lisbon (1982) and the aggregation in Microelectronics in the same University in 1985. He did pioneering work in the field of amorphous silicon and he is co-author of first full oxide based thin film transistor full processed at room temperature and co-inventor of the paper transistor, memory transistor and of the first solid state electrochromic transistor full oxide based. Rodrigo Martins has been also acting as consultant of several companies such as Samsung and holds 68 patents in the areas of oxides and paper electronics.
