O.B.Vitrik received his  Ph.D in Moscow Physics Engineering Institute, Moscow in 1990 and D.Sc. in  Far Eastern State Technical University (FESTU), Vladivostok in 1999. He was Professor of Physics in FESTU until 2005. In 2005-2018 he was is a principal researcher in laboratory of Precision Optical Measurement, Institute for Automaton and Control Processes Far Easern Branch of Russdian Academy of Science (IACP FEB RAS), Vladivostok.  Since 2018 he is a head of   Laboratory of novel functional photonic materials, IACP FEB RAS.

Research interests: Until 2010 research interests included fiber and integrated optics, since that time they changed to photonics, plasmonics, and nanooptics.
