Jarmila Zimmermannová works at the Moravian University Olomouc as a rector and expert guarantor at the Department of Economics. From 2003 to 2009 she held various positions at the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic, most recently as Deputy Director of the Department of Sustainable Energy and Transport and Head of the Department of Environmental Tax Reform and Transport. She represented the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic in the OECD Working Group - Joint Meetings of Tax and Environment Experts. Her professional activity focuses mainly on the issues of financial and economic instruments for environmental protection, mainly on ex-ante and ex-post analyses of economic instruments in the field of air and climate protection, such as environmental taxes and tradable emission allowances. She is the author of a number of scientific and technical articles and the monograph "Environmental taxation and modelling of its impacts". Within ERASMUS, she has lectured abroad at universities in Hungary (Budapest Business School), Germany (Hochshule Nordhausen, Duale Hochshule Villingen Schwenningen, Ruhr Universität Bochum) and Slovenia (University of Maribor).
