Dr Emery is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the lab of Prof. John Wood at University College London, where he is using electrophysiological and live imaging approaches to further understand how sensory neurons respond to discrete noxious input.Ed obtained his BSc (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh. He then went on to study for a Ph.D in Pharmacology from the University of Cambridge in the lab of Prof. Peter McNaughton, where he investigated the role that HCN2 ion channels have in the development of different pain conditions.
