German economic stimulus package doubles research allowance to €1 million per year

The German Federal Government's stimulus package provides for the brand-new research allowance (Forschungszulage) to be increased from €500.000 to €1 million and for the project costs to be doubled from €2 million to € 4million. The other conditions of the Research Allowance Act are not affected, such as the amount of the tax credit of 25% of the project costs and the type of funding (tax research funding of personnel costs).
