The Belgian Nuclear Research Centre is a foundation of public utility. More than 600 employees realize a turnover of 95 M€. Priority is given to research on Safety of Nuclear Installations, Radiation Protection, Safe Treatment and Disposal of Radioactive Waste, Education and Training.We provide services and operate BR2; an MTR with a very high neutron flux, BR1; a graphite-gas research reactor, VENUS; a zero-power-critical-facility, several gamma irradiation facilities, a Laboratory for High and Medium Activity and Nuclear Analysis and Chemical Laboratories. Through the EIG Euridice we run our Underground Research Laboratory HADES.
