This meeting, bringing together experts from the Global Space-based Inter-Calibration System (GSICS) and the Infrared and Visible Optical Sensors (IVOS) subgroup, aims to share knowledge and expertise in the field of lunar calibration. Participants will join from international and national agencies developing and operating Earth observing satellite missions.
Participants will discuss:
In fostering knowledge sharing and collaborations, the workshop will help to improve and enhance the current capabilities provided by lunar imagery to assess the radiometric performances of instruments in space. The workshop is intended to lead to a series of recommendations, actions and potentially to decisions to help the lunar community and the participating agencies to improve the accuracy of their system and reduce the uncertainties on the measurements and reference data.
