ICA World, in cooperation with our Top Expert Astrid Denker, is happy to invite you to a series of seminars on contract opportunities with GIZ and KfW in order to get familiar with their processes and successfully access to German cooperation funding.

Objectives​

The aim of this event is to enhance access to German funding with practical advices and insights on GIZ and KfW provided by a well-informed professional and to exchange with organisations and consultants also interested in projects funded by these donors.

Who can attend?

This event is dedicated to executives, project managers and independant consultants working on GIZ & KfW tenders.

What we propose:

• Two on-site seminars for consulting companies seeking access to contracts from bilateral German development assistance. These provide executives and project managers with practical instructions and tips for successful participation in GIZ and KfW tenders.
• A webinar on proposal writing for GIZ tenders.

Seminar 1: Successful bidding for GIZ Tenders

The participants will receive a thorough introduction into the methodological foundations, tender procedures and evaluation schemes of GIZ projects and hands-on advice on how to manage and edit winning technical and financial proposals.

Main contents:

• Introduction into bidding on GIZ tenders
• Pre-qualification
• The methodological foundations and principles in GIZ proposals
• Evaluation scheme of technical proposals and practical recommendations
• Introduction into GIZ tender procedures and rules (incl. online bidding)
• Special features of the financial proposal

Seminar 2: Successful bidding for KfW Tenders

The participants will receive a thorough introduction into the tender procedures and evaluation schemes of KfW projects and hands-on advice on how to manage and edit winning technical and financial proposals.

• Pre-qualification 
• Key evaluation criteria and recommendations for successful technical proposals
• Special features of the financial proposal

Webinar: Proposal writing for GIZ tenders

This webinar will provide practical guidance and coaching for proposal writing dedicated to proposal writers and project managers with no or little experience in GIZ proposal writing. It will consist of 5 online sessions (1 hour each) and will take place in November; the exact date will be fixed directly with the participants who registered to this option.

Main contents:

• Introduction into the GIZ Capacity WORKS concept and main tools
• Structure of the technical proposal
• Key concepts of technical cooperation and capacity building as basis of the single chapters
  • (a) Group work and plenary discussions in training proposal writing skills 
  • (b) coaching of assignments to be elaborated at the home office
• Dos and Don’ts in writing technical proposals for GIZ
