Human Rights in Danger – Tensions and Security in Asia

Discussing human rights in the context of recent political developments in Asia

The World Solidarity Forum invites you to join our panel discussion event "Human Rights in Danger – Tensions and Security in Asia"

Events across Asia such as continuous protests in Hong Kong, increased tensions in Kashmir and persecution of the Uyghurs minority in China, are raising concerns among human rights activists and international organisations. As these incidents unfold in Asia, we are all witnesses of widespread human rights abuses and potential escalation of tension.

With the United States ceding ground in international affairs and creating a power void in the region and a growing Sino-Russian alignment, how peace and stability will be affected? The World Solidarity Forum believes it is important to discuss the implications of these events on human rights and security across different countries in Asia and investigate EU’s role in preventing further violence.
