The workshop will discuss proposals on how to strengthen social acceptance and community engagement in renewable energy, with a particular focus enabling factors, and drivers for social acceptance of wind energy, all over Europe. The event will also explore how the EU Clean Energy for All Package will impact on policies and actions at the local level, also with regard to community engagement.

A ‘Marketplace of Best Practices’ will showcase valuable examples of how different actors work together to successfully achieve socially-inclusive wind energy projects. Participants will have the opportunity to actively join in the discussion by making the connection to their own context and to reflect on criteria for fair wind energy development.
