Agenda:
EUROCHAMBRES and VoteWatch will present the ‘MEP Entrepreneur Index’ a brand new publicly available tool for tracking how MEPs vote in relation to a range of topics of importance to entrepreneurs.
The MEP Entrepreneur Index, developed by VoteWatch Europe in partnership with EUROCHAMBRES, reveals how MEPs cast their votes on 25 decisions, both binding and non-binding, during the 2014-19 term. It covers a wide range of subjects such as access to capital, access to qualified labour, reduction of non-tariff barriers between EU member states, access to raw materials and to external markets, or the level of administrative burdens.
The MEP Entrepreneur Index is one component in EUROCHAMBRES #Chambers4EU campaign to raise awareness of May’s European Parliament elections. The network of over 800 local Chambers across the EU is committed to this goal, with a view to increasing turnout at the polls and ensuring that citizens vote on an informed basis about the importance of the EU to businesses and wider society.
