TSCA: Section 5 New Chemical Notification Workshop TRAINING COURSE

A deep dive into the EPA New Chemical Notification Process.

Understanding the new chemical review framework helps companies with proper business planning and ensuring chemicals get to market without unnecessary ;This practical workshop will outline changes to TSCA Section 5, as amended by the Frank ;Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, and will demonstrate why the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is now regulating the majority of new chemical ;

The first session, A Deep Dive into the Paradigm Shift in the EPA New Chemical Notification Process under TSCA Section 5, will outline these changes and will highlight the new chemical review process, current regulatory outcomes and various regulatory controls now being used by the EPA, and demonstrate how an informed approach can expedite the notification process.

The second session, Strategies for EPA New Chemical Notification Packages and the Benefits of Chemical Prescreening, will highlight EPA submission options and important hazard, engineering and exposure information needed in the new chemical notifications. The instructor will also discuss EPA approaches and predictive tools that may help identify risk-prone activities, assist in the development of targeted testing schemes and provide insight into the potential regulatory outcome prior to submission.
