On the occasion of yearly meeting of the tourism organization important issues will be tabled such as: increased regional cooperation, visa facilitation and the better promotion of European tourism.

The most important world tourism event to be played under the ECTT leadership has taken place on July 28th/29, 2017 when the world tourism community has proposed the name of the new victor of WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION AWARD and the world example in tourism development.

The venues for WORLD TOURISM DAY 2017 where also discussed and decided on the fringes of European Tourism Council gathering.

The 10th Meeting of the European Tourism organization-ECTT and European Tourism Academy held in Bucharest, Romania, 27-28-29 July 2017 decided that WORLD TOURISM DAY 2017 celebrations will be taken place in Phnom Penh, Bucharest and Dubai on 27 and 28 september 2017.
