Sustainable First and Second Generation Bioethanol for Europe

Opportunities for People, Planet and Profit

CropEnergies, one of the leading European manufacturers of sustainably produced bioethanol, and nova-Institute, the renowned bioeconomy research organisation, will co-host this international conference in the heart of the European District.

In the context of discussions regarding the draft EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED II), the conference will provide a platform for discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of first and second generation bioethanol. The conference will look at whether the RED II proposals deliver on the European Commission’s mandate to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and decarbonise transport.

Brand new research into the sustainability of different biofuel feedstocks will be presented and discussed by high-level policy, industry, science and civil society stakeholders.

Join the discussion on Tuesday 26 September at the Thon Hotel EU in Brussels.

Registration is now open and is free of charge. More information on the conference agenda will be available soon.
