Join us for an evening guest lecture, presented by Robert Falkner, Professor in International Relations at the London School of Economics, on Monday 24 April 2017.

The lecture will review the unilateralist turn in America’s climate policy under Trump and reflect on its likely impact on the Paris Agreement. Professor Falkner will examine how robust the climate regime is to such political shocks and whether subnational climate efforts in the US can temper the Trump effect.

Robert Falkner is Associate Professor of International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the Research Director (from September 2017) of the LSE’s Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. He has published widely on global environmental politics and international political economy, including The Handbook of Global Climate and Environment Policy (edited, Wiley-Blackwell, paperback 2016) and Business Power and Conflict in International Environmental Politics (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008). He holds degrees in economics and politics from Munich University and a doctorate in international relations from Oxford University.
