8th International Conference Automotive Doors and Components

IQPC

Automotive doors are important elements of the vehicle design, carry multiple functions, require unique construction and production methods. They pose unique challenges regarding their development, production and assembly, involving specific CAE techniques, material, production and assembly processes. 2020 is approaching and OEMs and Tier 1s are eagerly looking for new technologies that could lead to weight reduction. This is the market’s biggest challenge these days alongside cost reduction (for certain materials that could help reduce the weight, e.g. aluminum). Another challenge is how to make sure that the doors meet certain safety and comfort criteria and the aerodynamics is improved through new latches and handles.-Increasing safety and usage flexibility through e-latches-Sliding doors: Optimising access and design-Reducing weight by using lightweight materials to manufacture automotive doors-Development and production of a laser-welded plastic tailgate for weight reduction-Achieving weight reduction and ensuring sustainability: Innovative technologies for interior door panelingThe following companies have been invited:- BMW Group - Daimler AG - Jaguar Land Rover Ltd - McLaren Technology Group- Magna Closures - Dura Automotive Systems - ThyssenKrupp Tailored Blanks - Witte Automotive - University of Porto - Fraunhofer IWSPrice:Bronze Package 2 day conference: EUR2.599,- + VATSpeakers: Christian Roy - PSA Peugeot Citroën, France Francesco Cumbo - Magna Closures - ItalyCategory: Conferences | Engineering and Technology | Cars and Vehicles
