World TB Day at the European Parliament

Join a cocktail reception hosted by DSW and Theresa Griffin MEP in celebration of the progress made to fight tuberculosis. The reception will host a video message from European Commissioner for Research and Innovation, Carlos Moedas.

On the occasion of World Tuberculosis (TB) on 24 March 2015 from 18.00, join Theresa Griffin MEP and DSW at an evening cocktail reception to mark the closing of the“Let’s Save Lives” campaign.In recognition of the leading role of the European Commission in supporting investment in global health research and innovation Commissioner Carlos Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation will give a video speech to attendees. You can download the agenda for the reception here, and more information is below.We are pleased to welcome representatives from the European parliament, the European Commission, NGOs and the global health community together to celebrate the impact of global health research and innovation in the fight against TB, malaria, and HIV & AIDS. Marking the theme of World TB Day 2015 – “Reach Treat Cure Everyone” – speakers will seek to chart a way forwards for global health R&D in the post-2015 development agenda.Important notice - participants without access badges For participants who do not have an access badge and need to be signed in to the European Parliament, please arrive promptly at the entrance at 17.45.
